Monks Clinch Third Seed in GNAC Volleyball Tournament

WINTHROP, Mass. - Rivier University finished its league schedule with an unblemished 11-0 record to earn the top seed in the 2015 GNAC Women's Volleyball Tournament, which gets underway with quarterfinal action on Tuesday evening. The GNAC regular-season champion Raiders will host eighth-seeded Mount Ida College at 7:00 p.m. 

Tuesday's three other tournament contests will also get underway at 7:00 p.m., as fourth-seeded Emmanuel College hosts fifth-seeded Anna Maria College, third-seeded Saint Joseph's College of Maine hosts sixth-seeded Simmons College and second-seeded Johnson & Wales University hosts seventh-seeded Lasell College.

The semifinals are scheduled for Thursday, November 5, followed by the title match on Saturday, November 7.

Founded in 1995, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is an NCAA Division III association made up of 12 member institutions, 12 associate member institutions, and over 3,000 student-athletes across the New England region. Each year, the GNAC sponsors and administers 17 championships, while balancing academic integrity, athletic opportunities and community involvement.

Thursday, November 5 - Semifinals

Saturday, November 7 - Championship
