Thompson Claims Third GNAC Weekly Honor

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been released and Saint Joseph's College sophomore Jennelle Thompson (Farmington, N.H.) has been chosen as the GNAC Corvais Libero of the Week for the third time this fall.

Thompson averaged 6.75 digs per set in a 2-2 week for the Monks and posted 40 digs in a five-set triumph over Mount Ida College on Saturday. The sophomore standout also tallied 35 digs in a 3-2 win over Southern Maine on Thursday.

Through 19 matches this season, Thompson leads the conference in digs (473) and digs per set (6.76). She currently ranks second in all of NCAA DIII Volleyball digs per set and 23rd in the country in total digs.

Saint Joseph's (9-10, 4-3 GNAC) will play a pair of GNAC contests at Anna Maria College this Saturday. The Monks face Albertus Magnus College at 12:00 PM and the host-AMCATS at 2:00 PM.
