Saint Joseph's Falls to UNE & USM

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College (0-4) suffered a pair of 3-0 setbacks in women's volleyball round robin tournament action at the Harold Alfond Center on Saturday.

UNE 3, SJC 0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-12)

TEAM STATS:

Saint Joseph's held a 25-20 lead in kills along with 22-21 and 41-39 advantages in assists and digs, but UNE made just seven errors on the attack with a .181 success rate opposed to the Monks' -.031 mark (25 kills, 28 errors) in the first of four matches at the Alfond Center on Saturday.

The Nor'easters posted the lead in service aces (8-5) while both teams notched four blocks in the match.

LEADERS – SAINT JOSEPH'S:

  • Senior Sarah Quinn (Dover, N.H.) led the hosts with five kills and picked up a pair of digs
  • Sophomore Jordan Ingoldsby (Alton Bay, N.H.) tallied four kills on 13 attempts
  • Junior setter Hanna Holden (Stoughton, Mass.) registered three kills, 19 assists, nine digs, and a pair of service aces
  • Freshman Sierra Burns (Peyton, Colo.) added eight digs
  • Freshman Allison McMullen (Jacksonville, Fla.) contributed three kills and two aces

LEADERS – UNE:

  • Freshman Viktoria Pavlyuk (Westfield, Mass.) delivered eight kills on 19 attempts for a .316 attack percentage
  • Junior Lauren Davenport (Shelburne, Mass.) posted five kills and four digs
  • Freshman Addie Miller (Wilmington, Del.) registered a double-double with 20 assists and 11 digs and added four service aces in the win
  • Junior Victoria Boutin (Sandown, N.H.) picked up 18 digs

USM 3, SJC 0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-21)

TEAM STATS:

Southern Maine posted advantages in kills (33-25), attack percentage (.176-.057), and assists (30-23) while Saint Joseph's led in digs (55-53) and blocks (5-4).

LEADERS – SAINT JOSEPH'S:

  • Senior Nicole Baron (Derry, N.H.) paced the Royal Blue with six kills
  • Holden totaled five kills, nine assists, and 10 digs
  • Burns added 19 digs and a pair of service aces
  • Sophomore Sam Holland (Gilmanton, N.H.) chipped in with nine digs

LEADERS – SOUTHERN MAINE:

  • Brianna Dellolacono posted 10 kills and six digs
  • Sophie Lindsay recorded six kills, 20 assists, and 16 digs
  • Alizia Lagando chimed in with eight kills, two aces, and nine digs
  • Tori McMahon added 17 digs and six assists
