CARLA (TALIENTO) SAVINO ‘85 was the fourth Saint Joseph's women's basketball player to reach the 1,000 point plateau as she scored 1,063 career points in three years donning the Royal Blue. As a senior, Carla recorded one of the finest seasons in SJC women's basketball history. That year she averaged 22.9 points per game, scored 527 points, grabbed 91 steals, made 109 free throws and converted 209 of her 527 field goal attempts, all of which rank among the top ten single-season records. For her achievements on the hardcourt, she received All-District, All-Conference and All-State honors. Her career point total currently ranks 17th in program history.
