Sue Picard '02

Sue Picard enjoyed one of the most successful multiple-sport careers in Saint Joseph's College Athletics history. In four years as a basketball and softball player, Picard helped the Monks capture six conference titles, five regional championships and a pair of national tournament berths.

As a basketball standout, she received All-Conference honors in 2000 and 2001 and garnered All-America and All-State recognition in 2001. During one of the most successful eras in program history - St. Joe's went 87-20 (.813) during her career - Picard averaged 11.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists. At the time of her induction, she ranks in the top 15 in 12 career statistical categories, including ninth in points with 1,203. She also played in all 107 of the Monks' games in her career.

Picard recorded similar results as a force on the diamond for St. Joe's. A three-time All-Conference player, Picard was amazingly consistent as a middle of the order threat for the Monks Softball program. She goes into the Hall of Fame ranking 1st in career at bats (516), 2nd in hits (178) and doubles (49), and 3rd in home runs (8), RBI's (116) and stolen bases (41). In 2002 she set the program single-season record with 56 runs batted in, a feat which still stands today.

Overall, the St. Joe's basketball and softball teams posted a 192-84 (.696) record with Picard in uniform.
