Captured the first conference championship in the history of Saint Joseph's College Athletics

Posted a 12-2 district record and went 6-0 in Western Maine Athletic Conference play en route to winning the WMAC Tournament

Following the season, seven players from the 1977 roster collected All-Conference honors, two were named All-NAIA District 5, and Head Coach John Monahan received three Coach of the Year awards

Overcame the hurdles of not having a field on campus and helped lay the foundation of future successes for all the SJC athletic programs
