An outstanding hitter and excellent defensive first baseman, Mucci set numerous career and single-season records as a four-year starter for the Monks’ baseball program

Hit .327 (156-477) with 108 runs, 29 doubles, 16 home runs, 117 RBI and 26 stolen bases in 144 career contests and owned the program’s career records for at bats (477), home runs and RBI and was second all-time in games, runs, hits and doubles upon graduating in 1987

As a sophomore, garnered NAIA District Player of the Year and All-America honors after hitting .393 (66-168) with 16 doubles, eight home runs and 59 RBI

As a junior, helped lead Saint Joseph’s to the program’s first-ever NAIA New England Championship
