Cape Cod, Mass. - With a regular season record of 26-11,
Bridgewater State College was selected as the number one seed in
the 2005 ECAC Division III New England Baseball Championship. The
tournament is an eight-team field with quarterfinal and semifinal
games held at Bridgewater and at Curry on Friday and Saturday, and
the championship game held at Bridgewateron Saturday afternoon.
In the first-round on Friday, May 20, No. 1 seed Bridgewater State
will host No. 8 seed Brandeis University (16-14), while No. 4 seed
Endicott College (24-14) will play No. 5 seed MIT (20-13) at
Bridgewater. At Curry College, the No. 3 seed Curry (20-12-2) will
host No. 6 Keene State College (22-15). Also playing at Curry, No.
2 Saint Joseph's College (32-9) will play No. 7 seed Babson College
(19-18).
The first-round winners will advance to the semifinals on Saturday
at the respective site that the first games were played. After the
semifinal finale at Curry, the winner will travel to Bridgewater to
meet that site's last team standing.

Game 1: No. 8 Brandeis (16-14) at No. 1 Bridgewater (26-11),

Game 2: No. 4 Endicott (24-14) vs. No. 5 MIT (20-13), 3:30 p.m.

Game 3: No. 6 Keene State (19-18) at No. 3 Curry (20-12-2),
