Moran and Lee Named D3Baseball.com Honorable Mention All-American

STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's College Baseball players Pat Moran '10 (Winterport, ME/Hampden) and Ian Lee '11 (Hampden/Hampden) have been selected by D3Baseball.com as Honorable Mention All-Americans.

Moran , the 2009 GNAC Pitcher and Player of the Year and NEIBA First Team honoree, is coming off an outstanding junior season as a two-way player for the Monks. As the staff ace, the tall right-hander tossed 62 2/3 innings with 75 strikeouts and just six walks with an 8-1 record in 13 appearances. His miniscule .084 walks allowed per nine innings currently ranks fourth in NCAA DIII Baseball. While serving as an outfielder or designated hitter, Moran batted .411 with 11 home runs, tops in the GNAC, and scored 37 runs with 44 runs batted in.

Lee led the GNAC, and currently ranks seventh in all of DIII Baseball, with a .475 (75-158) batting average in 2009. The sophomore catcher and All-Conference Second Team selection belted 17 doubles with three long balls to go with 40 runs and a team-high 53 RBI.

Moran and Lee , former high school teammates and University of Maine transfers, will look to build on their 2009 individual achievements next season. The duo will be relied upon heavily as the Monks prepare to return to the NCAA Regional.

In 2009, Saint Joseph's posted a 31-13 overall record and went 13-1 in conference play en route to capturing the program's first GNAC regular season title.
