weekend.
GAME ONE
St. Joe's scored one run in the first, four in the third, seven in
the fifth and six in the seventh inning to account for the 18 runs
in the game. Keirstead scattered five hits and

Leading 1-0 in the third, Moran came up with the bases loaded and

single in the first frame of the nightcap.
Lasell starting pitcher Matt Mahoney '12 (Rockland, MA) held the
Monks without a run in the first frame, but the Lasers' lead was
short lived as St. Joe's went on to score five runs in the bottom
of the second. The hosts went on to add two runs in the third, four
in the fourth, two in the fifth and tacked on eight in the sixth en
route to a 21-3 triumph.

out the side in one inning of work.

nine earned runs in 1 2/3 innings of relief.
Burdin saw his batting average balloon to .423
(22-52) after starting the conference weekend hitting at a .286
clip.
Not to be outshined by the gaudy offensive numbers put up by the
Monks batsmen, the SJC pitching staff allowed just three earned
runs and one walk while striking out 34 in 28 innings over the
weekend. As a result, the staff ERA dropped nearly a full run over
the four contests and now stands at a respectable 4.73 through 21
games.
Saint Joseph's will travel to Brunswick, ME on Tuesday to take on
Bowdoin College in a 3:30 PM start. Lasell will host Newbury
College on Tuesday at 7:00 PM.
