STANDISH, Maine – The 2016 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) postseason accolades have been released and eight Saint Joseph's College players have received honors.

Senior outfielder Taylor Reuillard (Biddeford, Maine) and junior utility man Taylor Black (Cardiff by the Sea, Calif.) have earned First Team All-Conference honors while graduate catcher Nic Lops (South Portland, Maine/Cheverus), junior shortstop Max McCoomb (South Berwick, Maine), junior outfielder Dennis Meehan (Gardiner, Maine), junior designated hitter Jameson Collins (Sandown, N.H.), and senior pitcher Corey McNamara (West Newbury, Mass.) have claimed Second Team All-GNAC accolades. Sophomore pitcher Josh Partridge (Deerfield, N.H.) rounds out the list and is listed on the Third Team.

Reuillard and McCoomb have also earned GNAC All-Defensive Team accolades for their stellar defensive play this spring.

Also an excellent student, the Exercise Science Major recently earned the 2016 Saint Joseph's College Male Student-Athlete of the Year award and was selected Capital One Academic All-District® for the second-consecutive year.

Black, who split time at second and third base this spring, also collects First Team acclaim for the second straight season after hitting .328 (38-116) with 37 runs, five doubles, a triple, two homers, seven stolen bases, and 21 RBI over 37 games. The junior infielder leads the team in walks (23), HBP (14 – single season record), and OBP (.478) and is second on the team in runs and stolen bases.

Currently, Lops ranks eighth in SJC Baseball history in RBI, ninth in at-bats, and 10th in hits and is nearing the upper echelon in doubles and batting average.

McCoomb claims Second Team All-GNAC honors for the third-consecutive season after hitting .326 (42-129) with 22 runs, two doubles, two homers, seven stolen bases, and nine RBI during his junior campaign. He currently ranks second on the team in hits and steals and is tied for third in runs scored.

In three seasons as the Monks' starting shortstop, McCoomb owns a .316 (130-411) batting average with 81 runs, 19 doubles, two home runs, 18 stolen bases, and 40 RBI.

An outstanding defensive shortstop, McCoomb is in the midst of one of the finest seasons ever recorded by an SJC player at his position, with just seven errors in 162 total chances for a .957 fielding percentage.

Meehan earns Second Team All-GNAC accolades for the second year in a row after hitting .321 (34-106) with 17 runs, seven doubles, two home runs, seven steals, and 12 RBI in 34 games this spring. The junior right fielder ranked second on the team in doubles and stolen bases and fourth in slugging percentage (.462).

Collins collects his first All-Conference award after hitting .314 (33-105) with 13 runs, five doubles, four home runs, and 34 RBI as a first-year starter. In a breakout campaign, Collins led the team in home runs and ranked second in RBI and third in slugging percentage (.476).

McNamara also claims All-Conference honors for the first time after posting a 4-2 record with seven saves and a 2.92 ERA in 20 appearances. In 39.1 innings, the senior captain fanned 40 batters while allowing just seven walks and 41 hits with a .268 opponents' batting average. He led the SJC pitching staff in appearances and saves this spring.

For his career, McNamara owns a 12-9 record with 20 saves and a 2.94 ERA over 74 appearances. In 147 innings, he has struck out 130 batters with only 34 walks and 123 hits allowed and a career .224 opponents' batting average. In the Monks' career record books, he ranks second all-time in appearances and WHIP (1.07), third in saves, and seventh in walks per nine innings (2.08) and hits per nine innings (7.53).

Partridge picks up Third Team mention after posting a 5-1 record with a 2.41 ERA over 11 appearances. Over 59.2 innings, the sophomore southpaw fanned 42 batters with 19 walks and 50 hits allowed and a .228 opponents' batting average. He leads the Monks in innings and opponents' batting average and ranks second in strikeouts and victories.

In two seasons on the hill for St. Joe's, Partridge owns a 2.70 ERA with a 5-1 record and 55 strikeouts while yielding 24 walks and 64 hits in 70 innings.

Led by 24th-year Head Coach Will Sanborn '86, Saint Joseph's College is 25-14 with a 12-2 conference record en route to earning the top seed in the GNAC Tournament, which played out last weekend in Providence. In a quarterfinal matchup on May 5th, the Monks defeated #4 Johnson & Wales University, 8-1, to advance to the final winners' bracket game and suffered a 10-0 setback at the hands of #2 Suffolk University and fell into the losers' bracket with the loss. St. Joe's escaped elimination with a 2-0 win over #3 Lasell College and remained in contention for the title, and forced an if-necessary game, with an 8-7 triumph over the Rams on championship Sunday. Unfortunately, the Monks fell short, 5-4 in 10 innings, in the finale.
