Partridge Selected to Play in NEIBA Senior All-Star Game

STANDISH, Maine – Josh Partridge has been selected to participate in the 2018 New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Senior All-Star Game, which will take place at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on Thursday, May 31st. The exhibition contest, which pits the College All-Stars (NCAA DII and DIII) versus the University All-Stars (NCAA DI), will begin at 12:00 PM.

Partridge completed his senior season with a 2.45 ERA while posting a 5-2 record with six saves during the 2018 campaign. The left-handed reliever fanned 56 batters over 44 innings and held opposing hitters to a .215 batting average in 23 appearances (new SJC single-season record). He led the conference in appearances, saves (6), strikeouts per nine innings (11.45), and ERA and ranked third in strikeouts and fourth in victories.

The 2018 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Pitcher of the Year recently claimed D3baseball.com Second Team All-New England, ABCA/Rawlings Third Team All-Region, and NEIBA Third Team All-New England accolades and capped his NCAA career with a 2.33 ERA and a 16-5 record with 13 saves while striking out 159 hitters in 158.2 innings and 67 total appearances.

He graduates ranked second in program history in career ERA, third in appearances and opponents' batting average (.223), and fourth in saves, WHIP (1.14), and hits allowed per nine innings (7.43).

Partridge, who held opposing hitters to a paltry .274 slugging percentage over four seasons, capped his career having not allowed a home run in his last 51 appearances spanning 120 innings.

Partridge is the seventh SJC player to be chosen to play in the prestigious event, following Steve Osborne '01, Derek McIntosh '05, Sam Tupper '07, Luke Enman '08, Pat Moran'10, and Todd Keneborus '11, Nic Lops '16, and Taylor Black '17. He is one of two Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) representatives, joining Suffolk University outfielder Brady Chant, and is the lone player hailing from a Maine college or university to be selected for this year's exhibition contest.

BOSTON, Mass.—The 29-man College Division roster has been set for next Thursday's 44th Annual New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Joe Walsh All-Star Game. The University Division squad, which is made up of the region's top Division I players, will be announced next week following the completion of conference tournament play.

The College Division team features 13 of the top Division II players in New England and 16 of the top Division III seniors in the region. The squad has players from 22 different.

The 2018 NEIBA Joe Walsh All-Star Game is set for 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, R.I.
