Luby Notches First Collegiate Victory at Titcomb Mountain

FARMINGTON, Maine – Saint Joseph's College participated in a pair of slalom races at Titcomb Mountain on Sunday.

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN (SLALOM 1):

  • Freshman Erica Irvin (Windham, N.H.) finished second with a 1:27.64 (43.57 – 44.07) time
  • Junior Sarah Hotchkiss (New Durham, N.H.) finished third with a 1:32.75 (46.28 – 46.47) performance
  • Freshman Kaitlyn Gerhard (Dover, N.H.) was sixth with a 1:51.15 (55.23 – 55.92)
  • Sophomore Jillian Luby (Wolfeboro, N.H.) posted a 44.93 time on the second run

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN (SLALOM 2):

  • Luby posted the first victory of her college career with a 1:27.52 (44.13 – 43.39) time
  • Irvin placed third with a 1:29.91 (44.80 – 45.11) effort
  • Hotchkiss was fourth with a 1:33.79 (46.70 – 47.09) performance
  • Gerhard completed the first run with a 55.05 time

THE RUNDOWN – MEN (SLALOM 1):

  • Freshman Liam Strobeck (Charlotte, Vt.) placed second with a 1:13.00 (36.50 – 36.50) effort
  • First-year Caleb Gorton (Goffstown, N.H.) finished sixth with a 1:17.41 (38.80 – 38.61) performance
  • Freshman Aidan Wolfinger (Bedford, N.H.) was seventh with a 1:18.55 (39.15 – 39.40) time
  • Sophomore Tucker Davis (South Berwick, Maine) placed 10th (1:29.16, 43.93 – 45.23)

THE RUNDOWN – MEN (SLALOM 2):

  • Wolfinger finished fifth with a 1:19.30 (39.16 – 40.14) effort
  • Gorton was seventh with a 1:20.05 (40.04 – 40.01) time
  • Davis placed eighth with a 1:29.30 (44.97 – 44.33) performance
  • Strobeck posted the top time in the first run (36.17)
