Five SJC Men's Alpine Skiers Claim All-Division Accolades

STANDISH, Maine – The 2024 United States Collegiate Ski & Snowboard Association (USCSA) Reynolds Division regular season is officially in the books and five Saint Joseph's College men's alpine skiers have claimed All-Reynolds Division accolades.

Seniors Liam Strobeck (Charlotte, Vt.) and Caleb Gorton (Goffstown, N.H.) and sophomore Jack Price (Franconia, N.H.) have earned First Team All-Division honors while junior Jacob Morris (Woodstock, N.H.) and second-year Logan Davis (Naples, Maine) have been listed on the Second Team.

Strobeck takes home First Team All-Reynolds Division accolades for the fourth-consecutive season  after tallying 469 total points, the highest mark in the league this winter. The senior standout recorded three individual victories and a pair of runner-up performances as a senior and heads into the postseason with 25 career podium finishes, a list that includes 17 total wins and seven second-place efforts over four years.

Gorton, a two-time Second Team honoree, claims First Team All-Reynolds Division honors after finishing fourth in the division with 390 total points. The senior posted a pair of podium performances, including a runner-up effort in a slalom race at Lost Valley last Saturday, and was a consistent scorer for the Monks having finished all nine races so far this winter.

Price secured First Team All-Division honors for the second year in a row after posting two individual victories and 369 points, the fifth-highest total in the division in 2024. The sophomore standout racked up the second and third wins of his career in slalom races at Black Mountain and Pats Peak on January 14th and February 3rd, respectively.

Morris heads up the Monks' Second Team honorees after tallying 341 points and a pair of third-place finishes – at Black Mountain and Sunday River on January 14th and 21st, respectively - as a junior. The sixth-highest points earner in the division, Morris joins Gorton as one of only two SJC men's skiers to complete every race this season.

Davis, a 2023 First Team All-Division selection, earns Second Team acclaim this winter after placing eighth in the league with 291 total points. The sophomore standout helped the Monks secure a top finish with the minimum number of points by placing second in a slalom race at Pats Peak on February 3rd.

Sunday's races at Titcomb Mountain concluded the Reynolds Division regular season and, for the third time in the last four years, Saint Joseph's brought home the Ricker Cup, which is awarded annually to the top combined men's and women's program in the USCSA Reynolds Division.

Led by sixth-year Head Coach Margot Cosentino, the SJC men finished the regular season ranked second in the Reynolds Division standings while the women topped the league for the third time. For the third-consecutive season, both SJC teams will compete in the USCSCA Regionals, which take place next Saturday (giant slalom) and Sunday (slalom) at Sugarloaf.
