Saint Joseph's Earns USILA Academic Team Award

STANDISH, Maine – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Academic Team Awards have been announced and Saint Joseph's College is one of 59 NCAA DIII men's lacrosse programs to receive the high honor.

To qualify for the USILA Academic Team Award, a team must post at least a 3.0 grade point average. The Monks registered a stellar 3.34 team GPA during the 2022-23 academic year and are one of just three Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) programs to earn the honor. Lasell University and Rivier University were also recognized for academic excellence.

St. Joe's capped an impressive academic year by posting a collective 3.38 spring semester mark as 32 players notched at least a 3.0 GPA, including 17 at 3.5 or above and four perfect 4.0 grades. A total of 13 SJC men's lacrosse players claimed 2023 GNAC All-Academic honors while carrying the minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA.
