STANDISH, ME - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has
announced their Weekly Honor Roll for the reporting week ending
October 26th two SJC men's soccer players, Doug
MacCallum '10 (Hingham, MA) and
Will Pike '10 (Gorham, ME), have
received mention.
MacCallum, a two-time honor roll selection, netted
three goals and two assists in a 2-1 week for the Monks. The junior
forward scored two goals and added an assist in a victory over
Rivier College on October 25th and chipped in with a goal and an
assist the following day in a win over Becker College. Through 18
games, he leads the team with 11 goals and 28 points.
Pike, a four-time honor roll selection, recorded
his sixth shutout of the season in a 4-0 win over Becker College on
October 26th. The junior made nine saves in a 3-2 loss to
Framingham State on October 23rd. Pike is ranked in the top three
in the GNAC in five categories this season.
With the #3 seed, Saint Joseph's will host #6 Johnson & Wales
University (5-13, 4-5) in a conference quarterfinal game on
Saturday, November 1st at 1:00 PM.
