Strobino Earns GNAC Rookie of the Week Honor

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College freshman JoJo Strobino (Clifton, N.J.) has been named as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvais Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week for the reporting period ending September 18th.

Strobino lifted the Monks to victory with an 81st- minute goal versus Rivier in GNAC-opening play on Saturday. The freshman midfielder has been a solidifying force for the Monks in the center of the pitch all season.

Through seven games for the 4-1-2 Monks, Strobino has a goal and an assist for three total points. The freshman midfielder has started every game so far this fall.

Strobino is one of three SJC players to have earned GNAC Rookie of the Week accolades on this year's side – junior captain Austin Bell (Gorham, Maine) claimed the honor on September 8th, 2014 and sophomore forward Brett Mattos (Mahopac, N.Y.) was named as the GNAC Player and Rookie of the Week on October 18th, 2015.

Saint Joseph's will play at University of Maine-Farmington on Wednesday at 4:00 PM.
