Mullen Named GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week

STANDISH, Maine - The first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards of the 2018-19 academic year have been announced and Saint Joseph's College senior Blake Mullen (Manchester, Conn.) has been selected as the GNAC Men's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week.

Mullen continued to stymie opposing offenses with a pair of shutouts, as the senior keeper posted goose-egg efforts versus Gordon College and reigning CCC Champion Endicott College over the weekend. Mullen was tremendous in the 1-0 win over Endicott, making six saves and negating numerous corner kick opportunities in the thrilling triumph.

For Mullen, the conference weekly honor is the third of his career and first since October 10th, 2016. For his career, the two-time GNAC Goalkeeper of the Year and 2017 D3Soccer.com Second Team All-American is 41-5-7 with 30 shutouts, a 0.29 GAA, and a .902 save percentage in 53 career games.

Saint Joseph's will host Husson University tonight at 7:00 PM.
