On October 24th, 2017 Saint Joseph's College junior forward Brett Mattos (Mahopac, N.Y.) was selected as the GNAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the fourth time that season.

The junior tallied two goals and an assist and broke the SJC single-season goals record with his 18th of the year versus Mount Ida on October 22nd.

Through 16 games, Mattos scored 18 goals with nine assists for 45 total points with six game-winning tallies. At that point in the season he led the conference in goals, points, game-winners, and PK markers (3) and ranked fourth in the GNAC in assists.
