ON THIS DATE: Monks Battle Past Cadets in GNAC Semifinal, 3-2

On November 6th, 2019 the Saint Joseph's men's soccer team rallied past Norwich University, 3-2, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament Semifinal at the SJC Athletics Complex.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Seniors Cody Elliott (Gorham, Maine) and Jackson Taylor (Gorham, Maine) scored for the Monks as the game stood at a 2-2 tie going into the 78th minute when junior Noah Elmore (Berlin, Vt.) netted the game-winner with the help of a defensive miscue committed by the Cadets
  • Junior David Walbridge (Hampden, Mass.) made four saves in teh triumph
  • Norwich held the lead in shots (10-8), shots on goal (6-5), and corner kicks (9-2)
