NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Norwich University (3-2-4, 3-1-3 GNAC) netted a pair of PK goals to defeat Saint Joseph's College (7-2-2, 7-1-0 GNAC), 2-0, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men's soccer action on Tuesday afternoon.

Cullen Swett netted both of the penalty kick markers for the Cadets, with the first attempt finding the bottom left corner at the 14:22 mark and the second landing in the bottom right corner in the 66th minute.

The two PK attempts were the only shots on goal for the Cadets all afternoon.

Overall, the Monks held the lead in shots (10-5), shots on goal (3-2), and corner kicks (6-2) in what was the program's second regular season GNAC loss in the last 66 games spanning nearly eight years. Johnson & Wales snapped the Monks' 57-game undefeated streak with a 1-0 triumph in Providence on September 24th, 2022.

With the loss, Saint Joseph's falls to 13-5-5 in the history of the series with Norwich University and sees the program's undefeated streak versus the Cadets end at 11 games. Prior to this afternoon, Norwich had not defeated St. Joe's since October 10th, 2014 (3-1) in Northfield. This stretch included GNAC Championship victories over Norwich in 2016, 2018 and 2021.

Saint Joseph's looks to get back on track on Saturday with a home GNAC game versus Lasell University. Opening kick-off is set for 1:30 PM.
