Nelson Earns GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week Honor

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph's College junior Madelyn Nelson (Casco, Maine) has been named as the GNAC Women's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week.

Nelson made 15 saves and allowed just six goals for a 71.4% save percentage in the Monks' 15-6 win at Simmons University on Wednesday.

In five starts this season, Nelson is 4-1 with a 7.59 goals-against average and a .507 save percentage. The GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week award is the second of Nelson's career – her first was on March 9th, 2020.

Saint Joseph's (5-1, 1-0 GNAC) will play at Johnson & Wales University on Saturday at 12:00 PM.
