Amanda Cahoon was hired as the Saint Joseph's College women's lacrosse head coach prior to the beginning of the 2012-13 academic year.

A Portland native who graduated from Deering High School, Cahoon went on to play collegiately at Elmira College in New York, where she tallied 71 goals during her career and earned Empire 8 Honorable Mention accolades.

After graduating from Elmira with a B.S. in Business Administration in 2006, Cahoon began coaching at Next Level Lacrosse in Providence, R.I. and was named as the Head Coach at Cumberland High School, where she led her team to an undefeated season and a state championship in her first year at the helm.

During the summers of 2007, 2008 and 2009, Coach Cahoon served as the Head Pro of Women's Lacrosse for the Nike Sports Camps in Boston.  She then worked as the Director of Marketing and coached for the Maine Premier Lacrosse organization for nearly two years and filled the Director of Operations role for Adrenaline Lacrosse in San Diego, where she also coached for Coronado High School, for over a year.

Cahoon currently resides in Portland.
