Women Finish Seventh at Aloha Relays

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The SJC outdoor women's track & field team competed in the Aloha Relays at Bowdoin College on Saturday. The Monks finished seventh with 20 points in the annual event.

Three program records fell, as freshman Lillian Bisset (Jefferson, Maine) broke her own 100-Meter Hurdles record with a 16.65 time in the qualifier – and went on two win the finals – while sophomores Kelsey Barrett (Gardiner, Maine) and Makayla Norcross (Auburn, Maine) set new marks in the 400-Meter Hurdles (1:16.69) and Triple Jump (10.45m) events, respectively.

THE RUNDOWN:

  • Freshman Lillian Bisset (Jefferson, Maine) posted a 16.65 time in the 100-Meter Hurdles prelim and topped the field in the finals with a 16.87 time; she also finished 10th in the 200-Meter Dash (28.73)
  • Sophomore Makayla Norcross (Auburn, Maine) placed third in the Triple Jump (10.45m) and seventh in the Long Jump (4.61m)
  • Sophomore Alysha Smith (Jaffrey, N.H.) was 10th in the 100-Meter Dash (14.17) and 16th in the 200-Meter Dash (29.60)
  • Freshman Breeann Sautter (Lisbon, Maine) placed 10th in the 400-Meter Dash (1:06.53) and 20th in the 200-Meter Dash (30.26)
  • Freshman Jessica Ladd (Gilmanton, N.H.) was 11th in the Javelin Throw (20.11m), 14th in the Discus Throw (22.31m), and 16th in the Hammer Throw (9.59m)
  • Freshman Marisa Quirion (Gardiner, Maine) was 11th in the 800-Meter Run (2:35.83)
  • Sophomore Kelsey Barrett (Gardiner, Maine) was 11th in the 400-Meter Hurdles (1:16.69)
  • Senior Marisa Lundy (Merrimac, Mass.) finished 17th in the 800-Meter Run (2:44.93)
  • Sophomore Michaela Dann (Hiram, Maine) finished 16th in the Shot Put (7.07m)
  • Junior Kyrie Harnden (Wilton, Maine) finished 21st in the 100-Meter Dash (15.38) and 29th in the 200-Meter Dash (31.86)
  • Smith, Norcross, Harnden, and Barrett placed fifth in the 4x100-Meter Relay (54.78)
  • Lundy, Quirion, Barrett, and Sautter finished fifth in the 4x400-Meter Relay (4:55.65)

NEXT!

The men's and women's teams will compete in the Pride Invitational at Regis College next Sunday.
