NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Saint Joseph's College men's and women's track & field teams competed in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Colby-Sawyer College on Sunday. The men finished second with 206 points, just seven behind Colby-Sawyer, while the women placed fourth with 92 points.
Emmanuel cruised to the women's title with 244 points, well ahead of runner-up Colby-Sawyer (183), while Regis placed third (99), Saint Joseph's was fourth (92), and Lasell finished fifth (26).
On the men's side, Colby-Sawyer paced the five-team field with 213 points while Saint Joseph's finished second (206), Regis College was third (113), Emmanuel College placed fourth (56), and Lasell University was fifth (49).
THE RUNDOWN:
- Sophomore Brooklyn Goff (Biddeford, Maine) paced the Royal Blue with 26 points after winning the 100-Meter (16.72) and 400-Meter (1:10.42) hurdles and finishing third in the High Jump (1.42m)
- Sophomore Lindy Hyndman (Auburn, Maine) placed second in the 100-Meter dash (13.20) and fourth in the 200-Meter dash (28.33) for 12 points
- Senior Samantha VanDeMoere (Thornton, N.H.) placed second in the 800-Meter run (2:30.75) and sixth in the 3000-Meter Steeplechase (13:44.52) and totaled nine points
- Junior Kimberly Moulton (Franklin, Mass.) placed second in the Hammer Throw (34.87m) to tack eight points on the team total
- Senior Kaylee Todisco (Wilmington, Mass.) racked up six points after finishing fourth in the Pole Vault (2.15m) and fifth in the 100-Meter dash (13.52)
- Sophomore Kelsey Kennedy (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) added fifth-place finishes in the 1500-Meter (5:09.54) and 5000-Meter (21:25.77) events for four total points
- Sophomore Caitlin Kendrick (Richmond, Maine) contributed four points after placing fourth in the 10,000-Meter (45:21.45)
- Sophomore Abby O'Brien (Gorham, Maine) finished fourth in the Discus Throw (29.07m) to add four points
- Freshman Hannah Vacco (Pembroke, N.H.) also scored a point after placing sixth in the 10,000-Meter (49:52.78)
- Todisco, Hyndman, Kate Luiz (Pittston, Maine), and Goff placed second in the 4x100-Meter relay (53.19)
- VanDeMoere, Luiz, Todisco, and Goff posted a third-place finish in the 4x400-Meter relay (4:36.61)
- Senior Carly Jordan (Turner, Maine), Kendrick, Kennedy, and VanDeMoere finished fourth in the 4x800-Meter relay (11:36.28)
