Farr & Monday Add to Growing List of GNAC Honors

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been released and a pair of Saint Joseph's College men's indoor track & field athletes have been honored.

Senior Ryan Farr (Gorham, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week and freshman Tudum Monday (Lewiston, Maine) has claimed GNAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week accolades.

Farr takes home his third GNAC weekly honor of the season – and ninth of his career – after competing in three events at the Boston University John Thomas Terriers Classic on Friday. The senior standout participated in the 400m dash, placing 47th with a team-record 50.26 time in a highly competitive field that featured runners from NCAA Division I, II, and III. Farr was also part of two relay events, running legs of the 4x400m relay, which finished 15th (3:26.13), and the distance medley, which placed 25th (10:56.87).

Monday collected his fourth GNAC weekly accolade of the season after participating in events at both the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic and the USM Husky Invitational last week. At BU, he competed in the 60m hurdles taking first place in the open section with a time of 9.06. He also competed in the triple jump and earned a 12.47m (40'11") mark. He then set two personal bests at USM, competing in the high jump and the long jump. He placed fourth in the long jump with a mark of 6.48m (21'3.25") and 11th in the high jump, clearing 1.65m (5'5").

Saint Joseph's will compete in the Maine State Championships at the University of Southern Maine on Saturday.
