Saint Joseph's Caps Indoor Season at ECAC Championship

BOSTON, MA – Senior Faisal Abdillahi (Lewiston, Maine) and the women's distance medley relay team closed out the 2013-14 indoor season by with appearances in the ECAC Division III Indoor Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Sophomore Lauren Rabideau (Ballston Spa, N.Y.), freshman Marisa Lundy (Merrimac, Mass.), junior Heather Eaton (Lincolnville, Maine) and junior Amber Dostie (Standish, Maine) combined to place 17th with a 13:18.04 performance in the distance medley relay on Friday.

Abdillahi finished 21st in the 400-meter dash with a 51.17 effort.

The Saint Joseph's track & field, in its second season as an NCAA varsity program, has had individuals qualify for the ECAC Championship in each of the last two years. Last winter, Dostie qualified for the 1000-meter run and Jack LaFreniere '13 participated in the 400-meter dash at the New Balance Track & Field Center in New York City.

Saint Joseph's kicks off the outdoor season with an appearance in the Westfield State Invitational on Saturday, March 22nd.
