SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Several members of the Saint Joseph's College outdoor track & field program competed in the 2023 NCAA DIII New England Regionals at Springfield College on Friday and Saturday.
Sophomore Dylan Dickey (Laconia, N.H.) posted the best finish ever recorded by an SJC athlete in the NCAA Regionals with a fourth-place performance in the javelin throw (58.05m). The previous top finish by a St. Joe's track & field athlete was registered by Amber Dostie '15, who placed fifth in the 3000-meter steeplechase in the 2015 regionals.
Senior Ashtyn Abbott (Farmingdale, Maine) also fared well with an eighth-place effort in the high jump (1.91m).
Junior Brooklyn Goff (Biddeford, Maine) placed eighth in the heptathlon event with 3,678 points and placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles (16.09), sixth in the high jump (1.49m) and 800-meter (2:39.62), seventh in the 200-meter (27.65), eighth in the long jump (4.86m), 11th in the javelin throw (16.94m), and 13th in the shot put (7.63m).
