STANDISH, ME – The ninth class of the Saint Joseph’s College Athletics Hall of Fame class was inducted with a ceremony at the Mercy Dining Hall on Saturday night.
The 2011 class is highlighted by the first-ever husband and wife duo to be enshrined – former men’s basketball standout Mike McDevitt ’83 and Margaret O’Brion McDevitt ’82, an outstanding women’s hoops player in the early eighties.
Fred Stone, a longtime administrator at St. Joe’s, Randy Henry ’98, a standout pitcher for the Monks, and all-time women’s basketball great Stacey Gelinas Russo ’02 join the McDevitts to form the 2011 class.
The list of accomplished athletes, coaches, administrators and philanthropists grows to 59 with the addition of the 2011 honorees.
