Kevin is a talented young right-handed pitcher who played high
school baseball at Scarborough High School, where he was a
four-year varsity player. The big righty posted a solid senior
season for Scarborough coach Jim Cronin with a 1.69 ERA, 35
strikeouts and just 7 walks in 41 innings. For his efforts, Kevin
was named to the SMAA Second Team, and pitched in both the
Maine/New Hampshire Senior Game and the Maine East vs. West
All-Star Game.
As a Freshman Kevin saw limited time for the Monks and he looks for
a bigger role during his sophomore season. A tireless worker, Kevin
might be in better shape than anyone on the St. Joe's pitching
staff. Look for Kevin's hard work to pay off in 2009.
Kevin is the son of Cynthia and Steven Chamberlain of Scarborough,
Maine.
