BRUNSWICK, Maine - Sparked by the performances of top-four
finishers Chris Coffin and Kevin Byrne, the Husson College men's
golf team claimed the 2007 Bowdoin Golf Invitational at the
Brunswick Golf Club on Sunday afternoon. Coffin finished in third
place with a two-day score of 150 (+6) while Byrne finished in
fourth (151, +7).
Husson posted a final score of 611, with St. Anselm just three
shots back at 614. Tufts University made a big jump on day two,
moving into third place to finish with a team score of 636.
Pat Sullivan of Tufts University was the medalist, shooting a
two-day score of 148 (+4), defeating St. Anselm's Chris Tarallo by
a single shot. Ryan Blossom posted the low score for the host Polar
Bears, carding a 154 over two days.
