KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine – Saint Joseph's College placed fourth with a 318 team card in the University of New England Invitational at the Cape Arundel Golf Club on Monday.
Endicott College featured the top three individual finishers and coasted to the team victory with a 282 card, 26 strokes better than runner-up UNE (308). UMaine-Farmington finished third (311), Saint Joseph's was fourth (318), and Maine Maritime placed fifth (335).
Frank Mahoney and Brady Burke from Endicott finished atop the individual standings with an even-par 69 card with the former claiming Medalist honors via scorecard tiebreaker.
FOR THE MONKS:
- Junior Drew Mathieu (Windham, Maine) tied for fourth with a 72 card
- Sophomore Nick DeLeo (Saco, Maine) tied for 11th (78)
- Freshman Braden Camire (Saco, Maine) tied for 16th (83)
- Freshman Caleb Campos (Port Charlotte, Fla.) finished in a tie for 18th (85)
- Junior Alex Beecher (South Portland, Maine) placed 23rd (89)

Winners of the 2021 and 2022 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships, the Monks will compete for a third-consecutive crown next Monday and Tuesday in the GNAC Tournament, hosted by Albertus Magnus College, at the New Haven Country Club.
