Bangor, ME - The SJC golf team took 11th place at
the two-day Husson Invitational held at the Penobscot Valley
Country Club on October 7th and 8th. Tufts University won the event
with a team score of 605 and the Monks finished at 650. Ryan
Blosson of Bowdoin took the individual title with a 3-under
141.
St. Joe's was led by SR Captain Chris Deroche
(Portland, ME) who carried a two-day total of 150 (79/71) and
finished in sixth place overall. JR Andy Leconte
(York, ME) was next for the Monks with a 160, followed by SO
Steve Sands (Westbrook, ME) with a 169.
Capping off the scoring for St. Joe's were SO Matt
Cotreau (Lunenburg, MA) with a 171 and SO Devin
Hersey (Caribou, ME) with a 179.
The Monks compete in the two-day NEIGA Championship hosted by The
Captains Golf Course in Brewster, MA, beginning at 7:45 AM on
Monday, 10/22 and Tuesday 10/23.
