BRUNSWICK, ME - Saint Joseph's College earned a
ninth-place finish with 705 strokes in the Bowdoin College
Invitational, played at the Brunswick Golf Club, which began on
Saturday, September 13th and concluded on Sunday, September
14th.
Senior Andy LeConte (York, ME)
led St. Joe's with a two-round score of 165 (83, 82) to place 29th
overall. Junior Matt Cotreau
(Lunenburg, MA) tallied 169 strokes (81, 88) and placed 35th in the
event.
Husson University claimed the 2008 Bowdoin Golf Invitational
Sunday, battling through rainy conditions to post five of the top
eight finishers to win by 15 strokes.
Lee Bloom of Brandeis claimed medalist honors by carding a two-day
score of 145, including the low round of the tournament on Saturday
with a 2-under par 70.
