For Saint Joseph's, hosting the tourney will be a first-time occurrence in four years as a GNAC member. UMass.-Dartmouth served as the host for the last two seasons. The 2010 championship was played at Triggs Memorial Golf Course in Providence, Rhode Island and the 2009 GNAC tourney took place at the Allendale Country Club in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.

Eight programs are slated to compete in the 2011 GNAC Golf Championship Tournament: Anna Maria College, Emmanuel College, Johnson & Wales University, Rhode Island College, Saint Joseph's, Suffolk University, UMass.-Dartmouth, and University of Southern Maine.

The 2007 and 2008 tourneys were both hosted by Johnson & Wales. The 2008 tournament was played at the Cranston Country Club in Cranston, Rhode Island and the 2007 championship was played at the North Kingstown Golf Course in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. The tournament will be played in Maine for the first time in 2011.
