Freshman Letourneau Named GNAC Player & Rookie of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The GNAC weekly awards have been announced and Saint Joseph's freshman Cam Letourneau (Hebron, Maine) has claimed GNAC Golf Player and Rookie of the Week honors.

Letourneau turned in his best performance of the young season over the weekend, helping Saint Joseph's claim the 2015 Maine Intercollegiate Championship with a 147 (72-75) card, a score which was good for second overall and ranks as the third-best in SJC Golf history.

The first-year standout has played in four tournaments so far this fall and sports a spectacular round average of 75 strokes. His 72 card in the first round of the State Championship on Saturday is his best score this season.

Letourneau is the first SJC golfer to earn GNAC Player and Rookie of the Week honors during the same reporting period.

Saint Joseph's will play in the Thomas College Invitational at Waterville Country Club on Wednesday.
