Hachey Selected as GNAC Golfer of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been released and Saint Joseph's College junior Adam Hachey (Winthrop, Maine) has been named as the GNAC Corvias Golfer of the Week.

Hachey finished fifth with a 78 card in the John Queenan Memorial Tournament on Tuesday and tied for ninth with a 157 (79-78) card in the Bowdoin College Invitational over the weekend.

A third-year standout and 2015 All-Conference honoree, Hachey played a major role in the Monks' outstanding 2016-17 season, during which the team earned the GNAC Championship and a subsequent berth into the NCAA DIII Golf National Tournament, both program-firsts. Heading into his junior season, he ranked fifth in team history in 36-hole average (159.9) and ninth in 18-hole average (78.2). For Hachey, the weekly conference honor is the second of his career. He also earned GNAC Co-Rookie of the Week acclaim on October 27th, 2015.

Saint Joseph's will play in the UMaine-Farmington Invitational at the Waterville Country Club tomorrow.
