Batchelder Named GNAC Corvias Golfer of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been released and Saint Joseph's College junior Adam Batchelder (Portland, Maine/Cheverus) has been tabbed as the GNAC Corvias Golfer of the Week.

Batchelder earned the first Medalist honor of his career with a personal-best 69 card in helping the Monks win the Thomas College Invitational on Sunday. The weekly conference honor is the second of his career – his first came on September 7th, 2016 after shooting a 73 in a tri-match at Gorham Country Club three days earlier.

Batchelder is the second SJC golfer to earn conference acclaim this fall, as he joins classmate Adam Hachey (Winthrop, Maine), who collected the honor on September 11th.

Saint Joseph's will compete in the University of New England Invitational at the Cape Arundel Country Club on Tuesday.
