KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine – Saint Joseph's College placed third with 310 points in the University of New England Invitational at the Cape Arundel Golf Club on Tuesday. Junior Cam Letourneau (Hebron, Maine) led the Monks with a 76 card and finished in a tie for eighth individually.

Featuring Medalist Tristan Dundas, who shot a 72, and three of the top five scorers overall, University of Southern Maine won the event with a 298 score. Endicott College finished second with a 301.

For the Monks, junior Adam Hachey (Winthrop, Maine) posted a 77, junior Adam Batchelder (Portland, Maine/Cheverus) shot a 78, senior Brandon Labrecque (Gorham, Maine) notched a 79, and sophomore Brendan Donovan (Auburn, Maine) turned in an 84.

The Monks headed into today's action having won each of the last two UNE Invitational events, with a 291 card last year and a rain-truncated 151 in 2015. Overall, Saint Joseph's has won the Nor'easters' home event seven times (2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2015, 2016) since 2001.

Saint Joseph's will compete in the University of Southern Maine Cup, which features a Ryder Cup format, this Friday at the Gorham Country Club.
