Dubois was tabbed as the Monks' head coach prior to the start of the 2014 season.

RECENTLY:

Under the watch of Dubois during his fourth year, Saint Joseph's posted the finest season in the 29-year history of the SJC men's soccer program. The Monks went 19-0-2 with a 9-0-1 record in GNAC play and, for the second-consecutive year, captured the conference championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. In the first round, St. Joe's clinched the first national tourney win in team history with a 2-1 triumph over Mitchell College and held defending national champion Tufts University scoreless before falling to the Jumbos – on their home field - in penalty kicks in the second round.

As a team, the Monks completed the 2017 campaign ranked first in NCAA DIII Men's Soccer in goals against average (.047), won-lost-tied percentage (.952), save percentage (.983), and shutout percentage (.952). Junior goalkeeper Blake Mullen (Manchester, Conn.) was also awarded NCAA Statistical Champion plaques after leading the country in save percentage (.981) and goals against average (.050) last fall.

The 2017 men's soccer team established new NCAA Men's Soccer records – for all three levels – in goals against average and save percentage. Saint Joseph's allowed just one goal in 1,930 minutes and broke the NCAA Men's Soccer record – again, all three levels – for consecutive shutout minutes (1,802:54). Mullen also set an individual NCAA Men's Soccer record (all levels) for consecutive shutout minutes (1,706:09) last season.

Following the regular season, nine Saint Joseph's players garnered All-Conference honors with juniors Brett Mattos (Mahopac, N.Y.), Dalton Gaumer (Corona, Calif.), and Blake Mullen (Manchester, Conn.) earning Offensive Player, Defensive Player, and Goalkeeper of the Year awards - respectively - while sophomore Jojo Strobino (Clifton, N.J.) joined the aforementioned trio on the First Team, senior Trevor Lopes (Cumberland, R.I.), junior Rory Twomey (South Windsor, Conn.), and sophomores Noah Robinson (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) and Jackson Taylor (Gorham, Maine) collected Second Team acclaim. Sophomore Mitchell Duncan (Sanford, Maine) rounded out the group of All-Conference honorees with a Third Team award.

The Monks also claimed plenty of attention on the regional and national stages, as Gaumer earned D3Soccer.com Third Team All-America, United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-America, and United Soccer Coaches First Team All-New England honors, Mullen collected D3Soccer.com Second Team All-America, New England Soccer Journal Goalkeeper of the Year, and United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-New England accolades, and Mattos garnered United Soccer Coaches First Team All-New England honors.

After the dust settled, Dubois was honored with his second-consecutive GNAC Coach of the Year award and the entire coaching staff was selected as the United Soccer Coaches NCAA DIII New England Region Coaching Staff of the Year. 

PAST SEASONS:

2016: Coach Dubois led the Monks to one of the best season in the 27-year history of the Saint Joseph's men's soccer program in 2016. In just his third season – and just two years removed from a 5-15 campaign – Dubois guided the Royal Blue to the top seed in the GNAC Tournament, a GNAC Championship, an NCAA Tournament berth, and the first NCAA tourney victory in team history.

Last fall, Saint Joseph's posted a 15-2-6 overall record with an 8-0-1 mark in conference play en route to earning the #1 seed in the GNAC Tournament. In the postseason, the Monks defeated Mount Ida and Suffolk to advance to the championship game and defeated Norwich in PK's to clinch the program’s third NCAA Tournament berth.

In the national tournament, St. Joe's posted a thrilling PK victory over Babson College on the Beavers’ home pitch before falling to Brandeis University – a team that advanced all the way to the NCAA Semifinals – by a 3-0 score the following day.

The 2016 side set new team records for most wins, fewest losses, most ties, highest winning percentage (.783), longest winning streak (8), longest undefeated streak (20), shutouts (16), consecutive shutouts (8), and goals against average (0.41). The Monks capped the 2016 campaign ranked second nationally in goals against average and shutout percentage (.700), ninth in save percentage, and 25th in winning percentage.

Postseason accolades were plentiful for the Monks, as Dubois was honored as the GNAC Coach of the Year while sophomore goalkeeper Blake Mullen, sophomore forward Brett Mattos, sophomore defender Dalton Gaumer, and freshman midfielder JoJo Strobino collected First Team All-GNAC honors, sophomore midfielder Rory Twomey earned Second Team acclaim, and freshman defender Noah Robinson was listed on the All-GNAC Third Team.

2015: Under the watch of Coach Dubois in 2015, Saint Joseph's registered one of the best turnaround seasons in program history. In 2014, the Monks went 5-15-0 overall, including a 3-6-0 mark in GNAC play. In 2015, with the help of an impressive recruiting class – both in number and ability, St. Joe's went 11-7-1 (6-3-0 GNAC) en route to securing the #3 seed in the conference tournament and hosted sixth-seeded Albertus Magnus College in a GNAC quarterfinal on November 1st.

Facing the Falcons, the Monks scored early and held a 1-0 edge until the 70th minute, when Albertus knotted the match and the contest went into overtime, with the visitors netting the winning goal in the 96th minute.

The 2015 men's soccer side set new team records for goals (48), assists (35), points (131) and suffered just two shutouts all season, the fewest goose-egg efforts against in program history (the 1997 team was also shut out twice). The Monks also tied the program’s single-season win streak record, seven games, last fall.

2014: In his first year (2014) at the helm for the Monks, Coach Dubois led the Royal Blue to a 5-15 overall record and a 3-6 mark in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play.

Featuring an undersized roster that was further depleted by injuries as the season wore on, Dubois managed to keep the program’s postseason play streak alive, as St. Joe’s advanced to the GNAC Tournament for the eighth consecutive season after clinching a 2-0 victory over tourney-bound Emmanuel College on the last day of the regular season.

PREVIOUSLY:

Prior to a one-year stint with the Beacons of UMass.-Boston, Coach Dubois worked for two years as an assistant at University of California-San Diego, a program which competes in one of the top NCAA DII conferences in the country. He has also worked with the New England Football Club in Boston and The Catalyst Training Center in San Diego and, in 2012, earned an internship opportunity with the Newcastle United Football Club.

Dubois certainly brings a wealth of high-level playing experience to the position. A native of Acworth, New Hampshire, he played collegiately as a four-year starting midfielder at University of New Hampshire after earning New Hampshire High School All-America and Gatorade Player of the Year accolades following his senior season at Fall Mountain Regional High School. Dubois went on to play professionally for several clubs, including a three-year stint with the San Diego Flash of the National Premier Soccer league and, most recently, the Los Angeles Blues of the United Soccer League. Along the way, he earned ‘Invite Only Trials’ with a pair of Major League Soccer clubs: the New England Revolution (2009) and San Jose Earthquakes (2012).

While playing for the Wildcats under the guidance of long-time Head Coach Rob Thompson, Dubois collected the team’s Glenn Aborn Award – given annually to the program’s most improved player – in 2006, played on a 2008 side that cracked the NCAA DI top 30 rankings, and garnered America East All-Tournament Team honors in 2009. Over four seasons, Dubois tallied two goals and five assists in 56 career matches.

Dubois earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at UNH in 2009 has a USSF National ‘C’ Coaching License and is currently working towards obtaining his 'B' License.
