Bangor, ME - The Eagles evened their record at 4-4 with a 3-1
win over Saint Joseph's College (2-3). Husson rallied after losing
the first game to come back and win three straight.
Husson was led by Rachel Russell (SR, Trenton, ME) with 10 kills, 4
digs, and 4 service aces. NAC Player of the Week Cassandra O'Neil
(Manchester, NH) had 11 kills and 4 digs. Marion Kish (Wallingford,
CT) added 26 assists, 10 services aces and 4 kils.
Saint Joseph was paced by Mary Hoyt (FY,
Rochester, NH) with 9 kills, 6 service aces and 4 digs.
Monique Lajoie (SO, Nashua, NH) chipped in 4
kills, 10 assists, and 6 digs while Marcie Gowen
(Plymouth, NH) added 10 assists and 8 digs.
Husson next opens conference play as they travel to Elms College on
Saturday, September 15. They will face Elms at 11:00 a.m. and then
play Lesley College, MA at 1:00 p.m. Saint Joseph's College travels
to Regis College on Friday, September 14 at 5:00 p.m.
