Standish, ME - The SJC volleyball squad lost to visiting Lesley University 3-1 tonight. They now stand at 2-7 overall, 0-2 GNAC, while Lesley improves to 1-5, 0-2 NAC.
The Lynx took the first two games (30-23, 30-21), but the Monks rallied and won game three 30-24. The momentum shift was brief, however, as Lesley closed out the match with a 30-17 win in game four.
SO Monique Lajoie (Nashua, NH) turned in a tremendous performance on the evening, finishing with 18 digs, 10 kills and 4 assists. SO Marcie Gowan (Plymouth, NH) had 7 kills, 13 assists, 2 service aces and 3 digs while FR Mary Hoyt (Rochester, NH) continued to impress with 7 kills, 12 digs, 3 assists and 2 service aces.
St. Joe's hosts the University of New England on Thursday, September 20th at 6 p.m.
