Standish, ME - The Monks (3-14, 0-5) dropped a 3-1 decision to visiting Maine Maritime last night at the Alfond Center. SO Marcie Gowan (Plymouth, NH) dished out a career-high 23 assists in the loss.
The Mariners took an early 2-0 lead winning the first games 30-17 and 30-21, but St. Joe's battled back in game three earning a 30-26 win. Maritime closed out the match 30-18 in game four.
FY Mary Hoyt (Rochester, NH) had 9 kills, 25 digs, and 3 service aces and SO Monique Lajoie (Nashua, NH) added 8 kills, 14 digs and 2 service aces. SR Brooke Perry (Biddeford, ME) chipped in with 5 kills, 7 digs and 2 service aces.
St. Joe's travels to Rivier College for a GNAC tri-match on Saturday, October 6th with Saint Joseph's College of CT beginning at 11 AM.
