LEWISTON, ME - Saint Joseph's College (6-13, 0-3 GNAC) was
defeated by Bates College (6-8, 0-2 NESCAC) on Wednesday evening,
3-1 (16-25, 20-25, 25-16, 6-25). Katie
Boccanelli '12 (Cottonwood, AL) paced the Lady
Monks with seven kills in the loss.
Samantha Varrell '12 (Portsmouth,
NH) added 15 assists and five digs, Kaila
Schulte '12 (Rochester, NH) recorded five kills,
Laura Moreau '12 (Rollinsford,
NH) had seven digs and Mary Hoyt
'11 (Rochester, NH) chipped in with six digs.
Kendra Frye '12 (Moultonborough,
NH) blasted four service aces in the losing bid.
The Lady Monks will travel to Boston on Saturday to participate in
a tri-match with GNAC counterpart Emerson College at 11:00 AM and
non-conference opponent Framingham State College at 1:00 PM.
