STANDISH, ME – Sarah Hawkes '13 (Pownal, Maine) has collected GNAC Weekly Honor Roll mention.
Hawkes registered 51 kills, 55 digs and 12 total blocks to go with an outstanding .378 hitting percentage in a 3-1 week for the Monks. The third-year starter tied a career-high with 22 kills and added 23 digs in a 3-2 victory over Lasell College on Saturday and became the Monks' all-time kills leader in a loss to Simmons earlier that day.
The third-year standout also broke the program digs record in a 3-0 victory over University of Southern Maine on Thursday.
Hawkes currently leads the Monks in kills (172), hitting percentage (.281) and total blocks (42) and also ranks second on the team in digs (241).
Saint Joseph's (12-4, 4-2 GNAC) will travel to Emmanuel College (10-12, 3-1 GNAC) on Saturday for a GNAC tri-match with Rivier College (7-12, 3-1 GNAC). The Monks face the host-Saints at 12:00 PM and play the Raiders at 2:00 PM.
