Wachowiak Tabbed as GNAC Offensive Player of the Week

STANDISH, ME – The GNAC weekly accolades have been announced and Saint Joseph's College sophomore Felicia Wachowiak (Milton, N.H.) has been chosen as the Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Wachowiak enjoyed a fantastic week for the Monks as she registered 46 kills and just 11 attack errors for a .361 attack percentage over four matches. She also added seven total blocks and 15 digs during the 2-2 week.

Through 25 matches and 81 total sets, Wachowiak has accumulated 248 kills and 77 total blocks – 59 solos and 18 assists. As of October 23rd, the second-year middle blocker currently leads the conference in total rejections and block solos, ranks second in the GNAC in kills and blocks per set (0.95) and third in kills per set (3.06) and hitting percentage (.274).

For Wachowiak, the weekly conference honor is the seventh of her collegiate career. She was selected as the GNAC Rookie of the Week on four occasions last fall and has also earned a Defensive Player of the Week nod from the conference this season.

Saint Joseph's (17-8, 6-2 GNAC) will play at University of Southern Maine on Thursday at 7:00 PM.
