McPhee Earns GNAC Defensive Honors

STANDISH, ME – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been released and Saint Joseph's College sophomore Abbie McPhee (Epping, N.H.) has been chosen as the GNAC Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.

McPhee was recently asked to take on a larger role and thrived in a 2-1 week for the Monks. The sophomore libero tallied 71 digs, good for a 5.92 digs per set average, including 33 in a five-set victory over University of Southern Maine on Thursday.

Through 28 matches for the 19-9 Monks, McPhee ranks second on the team in digs (261) and service aces (43). The weekly conference honor is the first of her career.

Saint Joseph's will play at Framingham State University this evening at 7:00 PM.
