Mules Post 3-0 Victory Over Monks

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Elizabeth Noyes had 10 kills and Molly Manuel dished 22 assists for the Colby College volleyball team in a 3-0 victory over Saint Joseph's College at Wadsworth Gymnasium.

The Mules improve to 2-9 overall after beating Maine Maritime Academy earlier in the day. Saint Joseph's dropped to 3-6 after losing at home earlier in the day to Lasell.

Karolina Serhan added nine kills, Paige Hanssen had eight kills, and Kate Wincek and Alexa Busser both had five. The Mules also received 12 assists from Mae Sefransky and nine by Emily Moslener.

Colby won 25-23, 25-18, 25-20 to win six of seven sets in the two matches Saturday.

Erin Maidman had 27 defensive digs in just three sets for Colby. Busser had a team-best three blocks and Maidman led in aces with three.

The Monks received seven kills and 10 digs from Victoria Huntley. Jennelle Thompson led the way with 17 digs, Jordynne Copp had a match-high five blocks and Shadai Gosselin had six kills. Emma Tirrell paced Saint Joseph's with 18 assists.
