STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College (10-10, 3-3 GNAC) suffered a pair of hard-fought losses in a home tri-match at the Harold Alfond Center on Saturday. The Monks opened with a 3-1 setback at the hands of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) foe Emmanuel College (6-13, 3-3 GNAC) and fell to Salve Regina University (9-10, 1-3 CCC), 3-2, in the nightcap. In the middle match, Salve Regina blanked Emmanuel, 3-0.
EMMANUEL 3, SAINT JOSEPH'S 1 (25-18, 21-25, 25-17, 26-24)
LEADERS – SAINT JOSEPH'S:
- Sophomore Kelsey Bickford (Somersworth, N.H.) posted a match-high 16 kills on 53 attempts with five digs
- Freshman Erin Olson (Stoughton, Mass.) registered 11 kills on 21 attempts for a .286 hitting percentage
- Senior Jordynne Copp (Cumberland, Maine) added 10 kills
- Junior Sarah Dyer (Seabrook, N.H.) contributed 39 assists and nine digs
- Junior Jennelle Thompson (Farmington, N.H.) tallied 33 digs
LEADERS – EMMANUEL:
- Junior Mary Shelow (Miami, Fla.) delivered 12 kills on 38 attempts with three aces
- Junior Carly Church (Higganum, Conn.) boasted a double-double with 40 assists and 13 digs
- Junior Casey Sheehan (Medway, Mass.) chipped in with three kills, four aces, and 12 digs
- Junior Katharine Journeay (Hampton, N.H.) added 23 digs and three kills

Saint Joseph's held slim leads in kills (46-44), assists (45-44), and digs (81-72) while Emmanuel posted a 12-6 advantage in service aces.

- Junior Cassidy Trabilcy (Phoenix, Ariz.) posted 10 kills and five digs
- Senior Samantha Higgins (Coventry, R.I.) delivered eight kills on 18 attempts for a .389 attack rate
- Senior Samantha Salwa (Ellington, Conn.) notched 28 assists and six service aces
- Junior Kendall Wilcox (Pomfret, Conn.) chipped in with seven kills
- Freshman Kathryn Linekin (Ridgefield, Conn.) recorded 19 digs
LEADERS – EMMANUEL:
- Shelow led all players with 12 kills and added five digs
- Church dealt 25 assists
- Sheehan paced the Saints with 17 digs
- Journeay added 15 digs and a pair of aces

- Sophomore Annie Donahue (Chelmsford, Mass.) led all players with 16 kills on 28 attempts for a .393 hitting percentage
- Wilcox netted 14 kills on 30 attempts for a .267 attack rate
- Freshman Andee Bender (Lebanon, Conn.) recorded 12 kills on 34 bids for a .265 attack percentage
- Salwa delivered 44 assists, three kills, four aces, and 16 digs
- Trabilcy chipped in with seven kills and 18 digs

The Seahawks held advantages in kills (55-42), assists (50-42), aces (12-5), and digs (73-70).
