Monks Fall to Eagles in Five Sets

BANGOR, Maine – Husson University (8-7) rallied from a 2-0 set deficit to defeat Saint Joseph's College (6-12), 3-2 (15-25, 20-25, 25-13, 25-13, 15-10), in a non-conference women's volleyball match on Tuesday evening.

LEADERS – SAINT JOSEPH'S:

  • Freshman Victoria Briones (El Paso, Texas) tallied 13 kills and 15 digs with a .393 attack percentage
  • Sophomore Maggie Sylvester (Barrington, N.H.) posted eight kills and five digs
  • Senior Hanna Holden (Stoughton, Mass.) contributed five kills, 15 assists, and 14 digs
  • First-year Nadia Sixto (Chattanooga, Tenn.) added four kills and four block assists
  • Senior Amanda Darby (Shrewsbury, Mass.) dealt 12 assists with two aces and three digs
  • Sophomore Hanna Webster (Alvin, Texas) chipped in with 15 digs

LEADERS – HUSSON:

  • Julia Leavitt boasted 21 kills with 13 digs and three total blocks
  • Cheyenne Young recorded 15 kills and 11 digs
  • Alexa Beal notched eight kills and three block assists
  • Alyvia McIntyre posted 40 assists, seven aces, and 13 digs
